A crouching chamois partially covered by the snow blizzard tells of the constant challenges mountain animals face in order to survive. The shot by Emilio Ricci (pictured) entitled Sopravvivivenza (Survival) won the international competition Fotografare il Parco (Photographing the Park), organised by the Stelvio, Gran Paradiso, Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise and de la Vanoise National Parks, with the patronage of Alparc, Federparchi and the participation of media partner La Rivista della Natura.

The image – together with the other award winners of the 16th edition, selected from 3100 photographs submitted by 420 candidates – will be displayed in an exhibition at the Scuderie of Fort Bard from 26 March to 25 April 2023.

Admission is included in the ticket to the Fort.
